Solo operators gain a single chat surface across devices without extra subscriptions. The real cost appears when a task needs consistent uptime: you still end up paying for a cheap VPS or accepting occasional drops.
Do this now: install via Termux on a spare Android device, route only notification and quick summary tasks to it, and keep heavy automation on the VPS.
