T3 Chat

T3 Chat is a multi-model AI chat interface from Ping Labs (t3.gg / YC W22), available at t3.chat. It runs in the browser and gives you one-tab access to 50+ frontier and open-weight AI models from a single subscription, replacing two or three separate $20/month assistant subs with one $8/month plan.

What T3 Chat does:

• •One-click model switching GPT-4o, Claude 4 Sonnet, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Grok 4, DeepSeek, Llama 3.3, Qwen 3, Kimi K2, and 40+ others all live in the same chat window with no separate accounts to manage.
• •2x faster response loading than ChatGPT the lightweight UI strips out plugin bloat and ad surfaces, returning streamed tokens roughly 2x faster than ChatGPT and around 10x faster than DeepSeek according to T3 benchmarks.
• •File and image uploads attach PDFs and images directly to chats. Generate images via DALL-E and other providers without leaving the interface or copy-pasting between tools.
• •Reusable personas bundle a system prompt with a specific model and reasoning settings into a saved persona that you reuse across conversations for recurring workflows.
• •Side-by-side model comparison run the same prompt across two or more models and compare responses in a single split-view, useful for picking the right model for a given task.
• •Team chat sharing and export share chat threads with teammates, export full conversations to Markdown, and configure reasoning effort settings for collaborative workflows.
• •Reasoning-effort control set high, medium, or low reasoning effort per chat to trade response speed for quality on models that support adjustable thinking time.

Limitations:

• •Visible message-cap UI causes anxiety even when never hit the Pro plan ($8/month) shows a usage bar that the founder has acknowledged deters sign-ups even though 99.9% of users never reach the cap. The number is in your face all session.
• •Usage window is rolling 4 hours, not a calendar month T3 Chat moved from monthly allowances to a rolling 4-hour usage window, so heavy users in a single long session can still hit a temporary wall mid-conversation despite paying.
• •Model availability is not always clearly documented which exact models are accessible at any moment changes as providers add or deprecate endpoints. The full live list is not always obvious from the pricing page.
• •Not suited to specialised deep-work tasks T3 Chat shines as a multi-model front-end for general queries but lacks the deep tool integrations (code execution, file analysis, agentic workflow automation) that make Claude or ChatGPT more capable for complex business work.
• •No native iOS or Android app T3 Chat is a web-based tool only. There is no first-party mobile app, which limits its usefulness as an on-the-go assistant. The web app does work in mobile browsers as a fallback.
