Limitations:

For a tool that handles your AI agent's search queries, a change in ownership raises legitimate questions about pricing stability, data handling, and long-term roadmap continuity. Worth monitoring before committing to it in production.
• •Developer-only product . Like Exa, Tavily is an API. There is no interface for non-technical users to search with directly. It is designed to be plugged into AI agents and automations built by developers.
• •Free tier is limited for real workflows . 1,000 credits/month is enough for testing and experimentation, but any meaningful automated pipeline will exceed this. Advanced Search costs 2 credits per request, so a pipeline running 20 searches per day will burn through the free tier in about 25 days.
